Family Business International (FBI) is a sustainable creative studio specialising in textile based production, creative strategy and cultural storytelling. Founded by Meike van Lelyveld and Marco Blažević, FBI was created as the professional counterpart to The Patchwork Family, providing a home for commercial projects that require the same experimental mindset, craftsmanship and collaborative spirit within a structured and highly professional framework.
 

We operate somewhere between a creative studio, production house and special operations unit. Rather than offering fixed services, we assemble bespoke teams of designers, artists, makers, performers and producers around the specific needs of every project. Whether it is a highly technical production challenge, an unconventional campaign or a large scale spatial installation, we bring together the right people, processes and expertise to make ambitious ideas a reality.
 

Our work spans creative direction, brand strategy, textile development, costume design, set and spatial design, upcycled décor, exhibition and event production, campaign concepts, custom PR activations, product development and small scale couture production. We specialise in projects that fall outside conventional production models, combining creative experimentation with practical execution. From producing handcrafted garment runs and immersive fashion experiences to transforming spaces or developing bespoke visual identities, we thrive on projects that require both precision and imagination.

Years of working alongside independent designers, artists, photographers, filmmakers, stylists and technicians have resulted in an ecosystem of highly specialised talent. Whether a project calls for hand painted garments, custom fabricated interiors, performance direction, creative consulting or complex textile techniques, we know who to bring together and how to deliver it at the highest standard.
